When waiting to sail off from Faeroes to Iceland, I went off to climb Slættaratindur, solo.
Not much of a challenge, I almost ran to the top. The ascent was fast, and the trip altogether took only a part of the afternoon, including the hitch-hike back. However, on the way there I met some other tourists who attempted the same summit, and were still struggling their ways up (or sitting down resting) when I was walking down. I made sure to help them, as they were missing the well-marked path that brings you to the top with less effort than negotiating the steep rocks.
