Crewmates are welcome to apply! You must have previous sailing experience, and preferably hold a Yachtmaster or similar license. You should have enough time on your hands to be allow a week or two's deviation due to weather and practicalities.
The adventure starts during the spring, daysails available to get to know the skipper and crew. Heading to Iceland in June. Greenland late June. Reaching Labrador sometime July.
Bergen - Reykjavik: 860 nM. Stopover possible on Faroe Islands, or detour to Orkney or Shetland - will add a few more days.
Reykjavik - Greenland (Nanortalik): 730 nM
Greenland - Labrador: 800 nM
Labrador - Great Lakes: many possible embarkation points, check sailing charts or Google Maps ;)
All of these passages will take about a week each, a few days in between for provisioning and any crew changes. Since the weather and practicalities may change, all applicants are to make sure that they may be available for 2-3 weeks around the planned dates.
Cost will depend on the applicant's merits.
